Service Times

Service Times shows when your church meets and counts down to your next service. While a streamed service is on, it says Live now with a Watch button. You enter your schedule once in the dashboard, and every embed on your site stays up to date, including holidays and snow days.

It's on the Website plan.

Supported providers

  • Firesky: your schedule is kept in Firesky. No ChMS is needed.

Setup

  1. Add Service Times from Add widgets.
  2. Open Dashboard → Widgets → Service Times → Manage.
  3. If your church doesn't have a time zone yet, pick it first. You can change it later in Settings → Profile.
  4. Under Weekly schedule, click Add service for each service: day, start time, length, and an optional name and location. Turn on Streamed online for services you stream.
  5. Under Special days, add any changes: cancel services, change the times, or add a service (like Christmas Eve). You can leave a note for visitors.
  6. Under Livestream and display, paste your Watch link (your YouTube, Facebook or other live page).
  7. Add your website to Dashboard → Settings → Allowed origins, then add the embed code to your page.

How it changes through the week

  • Upcoming: more than countdown-hours before the next service. Shows the day and time.
  • Soon: inside countdown-hours. Shows the countdown.
  • Live: from the start time until the service's length has passed. Shows Live now and Watch live when you have a watch link.
  • After: moves on to the next service on its own. Nobody has to update anything on Sunday morning.

Live is based on your schedule and each service's length. It doesn't check whether your stream is actually running.

Notes

  • Time zone: times always show in your church's time zone, wherever the visitor is, and daylight saving changes are handled for you. Change it in Settings → Profile.
  • Address: directions use the address in your Church Profile.
  • What's shown: the countdown looks two weeks ahead. Special days show for the next 30 days.
  • Countdown setting: turn off Show a countdown before services in the dashboard to show the day and time instead. An embed's countdown-hours still wins.
  • Closing the bar: a visitor who closes the bar sees it again before the next service. Turn off Let visitors close the bar to keep it up.
  • Screen readers hear one short message when the state changes, not every second of the countdown.
  • Guest Card uses this schedule to list upcoming services in its form.
