Subscribe to Publication and Unsubscribe

Two widgets that replace the stock Ministry Platform Subscribe to Publications and One-Click Unsubscribe widgets. For signed-in subscription management, use My Subscriptions.

Subscribe to Publication

Attribute	Description
`publication-id`	Required. The MP Publication ID.
`email-template`	Required. MP Communication ID of the verification email (it must contain MP's verification link).
`return-url`	Page the verification link opens. Defaults to the page the widget is on, and must be on your site.

The stock names publicationid, verificationemailtemplateid and returnurl also work.

How it works:

Guests enter their name and email. Signed-in users can pick themselves or a household member; Ministry Platform fills in their details.
Ministry Platform emails a verification link.
The link opens this page again, and the widget confirms the subscription.

Unsubscribe

Put this on the page your publication emails' unsubscribe link points to:

Attribute	Description
`my-subscriptions-url`	Optional page with your My Subscriptions widget, shown as a button. The stock name `mysubscriptionswidgettargeturl` also works.

The link must include MP's ?cg=…&pubid=…. The person is unsubscribed as soon as the page opens; leaving out pubid opts them out of all bulk email. They can Undo right away. Their email address is shown partly hidden (j•••@example.org), since these links get forwarded.

Requirements

Add allowed origins in Dashboard -> Widgets -> Allowed origins
