Ministry Platform

Checkout

Checkout shows an event registration invoice and lets people pay a deposit, the full balance, or another amount. It replaces the stock Ministry Platform Checkout widget and uses the same payment vendor handoff.

Supported Providers

  • Ministry Platform — Invoices, payment requests, and payment results go through MP.

Embed

Put the widget on your checkout page:

<fs-checkout
  payment-processor-url="https://your-vendor.example.com/mp-handoff"
  back-to-event-url="/event"
></fs-checkout>

Then point Event Details or Event Finder at that page with checkout-path="/checkout", and My Invoices with target-url="/checkout".

Attributes

AttributeDescription
payment-processor-urlRequired. The handoff URL your payment vendor gave you for Ministry Platform. Relative or absolute. Supports the same {{userFirstName}}, {{userEmail}} and other placeholders as the stock widget. The stock name paymentprocessortargeturl also works.
back-to-event-urlPage with your Event Details widget. Used for Make Changes and Back to Event Details. The stock name backtoeventtargeturl also works.
invoice-id-paramQuery parameter that holds the invoice ID. Default id.
event-id-paramQuery parameter your Event Details page reads the event ID from. Default id.

How payment works

  1. The page opens with ?id={invoiceGuid}.
  2. Pay Now asks Ministry Platform to sign the payment request and sends the person to your vendor.
  3. The vendor sends them back to this page with ?token=…. Checkout records the payment in MP and shows the result.

Guests can pay without signing in. Signed-in users are recognized automatically.
